LASER MACROPOLISHING OF ADDITIVELY MANUFACTURED PARTS OF MARAGING STEEL WITH RESPECT TO SURFACE PROPERTIES

چکیده

This article is focused on the laser macro polishing of additively manufactured (AM) parts. The material that being processed maraging steel (MS1). main part study to find suitable parameters significantly reduce surface roughness 3 surfaces with completely different topologies. investigated are scanning speed, defocussed and power. However, other properties also tested. Fatigue life, tensile hardness testing were carried out for sets parameters. It was found reduction Ra by over 90 % possible. Interestingly, 1 2 showed more brittle-like behaviour in comparison parameter 3. further supported testing, which increased centre samples.
